Project Manager

Masque Sound, one of NYC’s most successful theatrical sound reinforcement, installation and design companies specializing in theatrical, house of worship, sporting, corporate, TV broadcast and live concert events has a career opportunity in the field of project management.

Project Management, as a collective, is accountable for attending to the needs of every production and is responsible for the completion of all related work orders. Maintaining a high level of customer support and satisfaction is our primary objective. In order to achieve our goals, the Project Manager is to follow up regularly with the client and fellow Masque personnel regarding any questions or concerns relative to the production. If there is a challenge with a client or a project, it is ultimately the responsibility of the Project Manager to resolve it in a timely fashion.

The successful applicant must possess the following:

  1. Skills including but not limited to:
    • Knowledge of professional audio/visual equipment and its function
    • Ability to excel at problem analysis and resolution, with a proven ability to function in a self-directed environment
    • Interpreting and completing the sounds specifications
    • Entering the specification into our inventory control program, R2
    • Coordinating purchases required to satisfy the spec
    • Manage post-shop build care of clients, including subsequent sales and rentals
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  2. Excellent written, verbal and online communication skills in dealing with:
    • Clients
    • Fellow employees
    • Management
  3. Above average people skills which include being:
    • Courteous
    • Timely
    • Clear
    • Concise
  4. The successful candidate must be detail oriented and punctual

AP/Video Technician

  • Clean and QC equipment on the Audio Precision and other Testers
  • Use Programs like D&B R1, Yamaha DME Designer, Meyer Sound Compass, RME Total Mix to update firmware and set units up for testing.
  • Document any problems found in R2 Software opening service tickets on items requiring repair
  • Track and update firmware on any equipment that require it
  • Scan all items in Thirdstream to track QC Status
  • Email any requests for parts or items to Technical Manager
  • Complete simple repairs replacing broken knobs and caps for switches and simple solder repairs on small equipment.
  • Organize and keep department clean.
  • Keep testing adapters in working order or labeled when problems arise.
  • Move QC passed equipment into the cage for storage.
  • Work with Technical Department to ensure any damaged items are moved through QC quickly so they can bill for damages.
  • Test UPS for rental use, charging and testing batteries and replacing as needed.
  • Operational knowledge of video for testing of video monitors and cameras.
