Computer Technician
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve existing clients with technical support about any computer/network related problems
- Prepare computers with necessary software, drivers and IP structure for clients based on the show bid list and preference
- Keep documentation on shows as far as IP schemes, programs installed and other relevant materials
- Test and maintain all computers and related items (including network switches, KVMs, etc.)
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records using in-house inventory software.
- Handle all plug-in related needs for clients including those needed in consoles and computers
- Prep and test computers, switches, and interfaces with the RF and AP departments
- Build, maintain, and test any computer related kit and/or kitted Masque assets
- Be available for possible Service Calls for computer related problems
- Email any requests for parts or items to Technical Coordinator and Purchasing Manager
- During slow periods should help with other repairs and service in the Technical Department
Requirements and Qualifications
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Four years’ experience in the live audio production or bachelor’s degree in related field
- Proficient computer skills (Mac and PC)
- Strong technical audio skills
- Understanding of IP/Subnet settings
- Understanding of managed switch types and configurations
- Audinate Dante (Audio over IP) Level 2 Certification
- Able to lift 50lbs and be on feet for an extended period.
Pay and Benefits
- Hour wage $28.18 ($34.51 with Medical and Annuity described below)
- 5% of gross wages to Medical Benefits
- 8% of gross wages to Annuity
- 4% deducted to pay Union fees
- $12.00 per day Pension Contribution
- 6 sick Days, 4 floating Holidays and Vacation
Shop Hours 8:15 to 4:45
Check-ins / Shop Laborer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Return equipment to inventory sent back by clients
- Reassemble equipment packages and document missing items
- Distribute equipment to various departments for quality control
- Update logs and documentation for inventory processing
- Identifying any missing or Damaged equipment
- Create service tickets for physically damaged equipment in Inventory system
- Keep check-In area clean and organized
- Separate out client owned equipment and give to project management
- Load and Unload vehicles
- Handling all equipment with appropriate care.
- Perform various other warehouse duties including, clean, equipment QC etc..
- Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining a warehouse
- Work as an active member to complete team goals
