SUPER IN
LINE TRANSFORMER
In response to the many requests for a solution to driving
the outputs of unbalanced or poorly balanced equipment over long lines,
Masque developed the ”Super ILT”. It is a small, inline barrel
designed for 600:600 ohm applications. The ”Super ILT” maintains
frequency linearity down to 30 Hz and the distortion specifications are
excellent, even at +18dB!

16 CHANNEL ISOLATION
BOX
The Masque ISO-16 is the ultimate in transformer isolation
and the logical step up from multiple Super ILTs. Using custom transformers
from the same source as those in the Super ILT (only bigger!), the ISO-16
has ruler flat frequency response, negligible distortion and can handle
signals up to +30 dB. Primarily designed for 600:600 ohm applications,
it will handle practically any situation you can throw at it.
– 16 transformer isolated channels
– Chassis is lined with MuMetal for outstanding RF rejection
– Rack ears are adjustable, so that the connectors can be front
or rear mount
ISO-16 $2500 |

VIDEO DISTRIBUTION
AMPLIFIER
For years, our clients have requested Nova Shintron VDAs
for their shows. When we found out that they were being discontinued,
we did the only thing that made sense: we bought the rights to build them
ourselves! We’ve taken the original design and improved on it with
cutting edge components and a redesigned circuit board, yet maintained
compatibililty with the original Nova Shintron.
The heart of the system is the V-DA card. Each card has the following features:
– Can be configured for 1 in by 5 out or 1 in by 4 out with loopthrough
– Selectable 75 ohm termination
– Variable output gain
– Each C-6 chassis contains a power supply and can hold up to 6
V-DA cards
C-6 chassis $330.00

MS-40 MIDI Snoop
The MS-40 MIDI Snoop is a full-featured MIDI Command analyzer built into a pocket-sized case. It features two interchangeable MIDI connectors, either one of which can be used as MIDI IN or MIDI THRU. The MS-40 utilizes 40 LEDs to indicate the type of MIDI Message on the line, and is able to recognize all Channel Voice (including Running Status), System Common, System Real Time and System Exclusive messages, as well as MIDI Show Control and MIDI Machine Control Sysex messages. Two different types of errors are indicated. The unit automatically shuts itself off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery power.
Set Up and Power
Slide the battery compartment open and insert two AA batteries, observing the polarity indicators. Under normal conditions your batteries should last for approximately 1000 hours of use. Press the red Power button to activate the MS-40. The Power indicator will blink to indicate the unit is functioning. The unit will automatically shut itself off after a 5 minute period of inactivity. This time can be adjusted by the user, if necessary.
Connection
The MS-40 has two female MIDI connectors, and either one can be used as MIDI IN or MIDI THRU. The MS-40 does not constitute a MIDI load so it may be connected anywhere in the system.
MIDI Messages and Errors
The MS-40 recognizes the syntax of all Channel Voice, (including Running Status), System Common and System Real Time messages, as well as System Exclusive, MIDI Show Control and MIDI Machine Control. It responds to these messages by lighting the appropriate LED(s) for a half-second.
When the MS-40 receives a MIDI message with incorrect syntax it will light both the ERROR LED and the message LED for twice as long as normal. This allows the operator to determine which message caused the error. Some examples of incorrect syntax would be a Status byte without a Data byte or an Endex without a Sysex.
There are also some MIDI transmissions which are not able to be interpreted. The MS-40 responds to these transmissions by lighting the “???” LED. Some examples of confusing transmissions would be incorrect baud rate, undefined commands or a Data byte without a Status byte.
Options
For the advanced user there is a programmable option that affects the power control. As shipped, the MS-40 automatically shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity. That period of time can be changed by pressing and holding the Power button until the Power LED shuts off. If the next MIDI Message is a Program Change then the Program Number (from 1 to 127) will be the new shut off delay time, in minutes. A Program Number 128 will disable the automatic shut off feature entirely and enable manual power control. In manual mode, pressing the Power button turns the MS-40 on, and pressing the button again turns the unit off. During the first minute in this mode the shut off time can be reprogrammed to automatic by following the above procedure and sending a different Program Number. After the one minute delay, pressing the Power button again will turn off the power.
